a bit about me:

Currently I am a PhD student in Food Science at University of Georgia, USA. I got my M. Tech (Food Science and Technology) from Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology, Thanjavur affiliated to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. I have done my research project on production of levan polysaccharide from coconut inflorescence sap using Bacillus subtilis at Department of Food Biotechnology and Department of Food Safety and Quality Testing, NABL accredited and FSSAI referral laboratory at IIFPT, Thanjavur. The research was published in LWT-Food Science and Technology Journal. I got my B. Tech (Food Technology) degree from the College of Food Science and Technology, Bapatla, Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University. As a part of my B. Tech project I worked on development of ready to cook sesame meal and moringa leaves curry mix. My research interest is on Traditional foods, Nutrition, Fermentation, Ingredients technologyFood safety, Shelf-life studies, and Fortification. Interested to work on Rural entrepreneurship, promoting food processing and value addition.
